Klanglicht Festival

Klanglicht is an annual festival of sound and vision in Graz for local and internationally renowned artists. As part of this festival, we, the students of FH JOANNEUM, worked out a light ballet on the theme of growth and interpreted it in our own way.

The two-part performance "Rain Dance & Rising Storm" makes use of one of nature's most spectacular spectacles: a storm. In the first act, a rain dance of lights is performed to meditative, rhythmic sounds. The second act stages a raging storm in which lightning and thunder act as central elements in a cinematic light-sound spectacle.

The art performance was created in collaboration with our colleagues from sound design and brought to life with the help of LED strips and moving heads.
